Lavender (Lavendula)

Lavender comes from the Latin ‘lavare’ meaning ‘to wash’, because the ancient Romans used lavender to scent their baths. It has a relaxing and calming effect.

Marigold (Calendula Officinalis)

Marigold is a vivid garden flower that has culinary, cosmetic and medicinal uses. It has a reputation for healing old wounds or scars and for soothing sore and irritated skin e.g. eczema, nappy-rash, cold sores, chilblains, burns and scalds.

Neroli (Citrus Amara)

Neroli is made from the oil of the orange blossom. It is thought to be named after the 16th century Princess of Nerola in Italy, who used it extravagantly to scent her clothes and rooms. It is a wonderful facial oil that helps to improve the skin’s elasticity. It has a calming influence on mind and body.

Nettle Extract (Urtica Dioica)

Stinging Nettles contain natural antihistamines and anti-inflammatories, and have many medicinal uses. Nettle Extract can help to cure dandruff and strengthen hair.
